Greg is a frequent guest speaker at universities, professional organizations and industry trade shows on topics at the nexus of energy, environment and society. Greg’s passion is education, primarily focusing on climate literacy, corporate sustainability, and LEED green building which he teaches on behalf of the USGBC and at the University of Miami’s School of Architecture. Greg’s mission is climate advocacy. As Leader of the Miami Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby, Greg is bridging the partisan divide on climate and promoting a solution to the climate crisis that has the endorsement of leading economists, top scientists, and most thought-leaders in the energy and climate policy space.

Greg’s recent talks include a Corporate Sustainability lecture for FIU’s School of Earth & Environment, and a presentation like you’ll see for this program, given at St. Thomas University’s recent Conference on Climate, Nature and Society, where Greg was asked to open for Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana, the chief architect of Pope Francis’s historic environmental encyclical.

She is passionate about green building and conscience of implementing a sustainable design approach within every project and business operation. Michele graduated with highest honors from the University of Florida’s College of Architecture, where she earned a Bachelor of Design in Interior Design and a minor in Business Administration. She has more than 15 years in the design and construction industry, as a LEED AP, licensed designer, educator, project manager, and a seven-time published author focusing on LEED-related books. Michelle’s calculated organizational skills, passion, and drive are the essence of dms.

Michelle established Design Management Services in 2005 to provide Interior Design, Project Management, and Green Building Consulting services for clients nationwide. dms assists project teams to evaluate buildings during all phases of design, construction and building operations, and offers services that help clients produce high performance green buildings and help them measure the performance against accepted standards such as LEED, WELL, Green Globes, and ENERGY STAR. dms provides the resources necessary to help clients find cost-effective solutions to high-performance design, construction and operations. In 2016, dms expanded its umbrella with dms Industry Solutions to start offering flooring solutions. dms’ client base includes architectural design firms, property management companies, private developers, government agencies, general contractors and Fortune 100 corporations.

Growing up in a small rural neighborhood in South Florida has many advantages. According to Matt Ferrer, the best is being able to remove oneself from the ‘noise’ and explore the world around you. Such exploration is a part of everything that Matt does. With it, he strengthens his education and his experience, allowing him to bring forth transformative ways of thinking.

Matt attended the University of West Florida for his undergraduate studies, and then the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.

Matt is a vibrant and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about making this world a better and healthier place to live. Channeling this focus into the exciting field of sustainability and energy efficiency has been the greatest decision of his life. He has been blessed to work with communities, businesses, cities, and organizations that have discovered the tremendous value in becoming sustainable stewards. Marc Gauthier is a 10-year veteran of Science Curriculum Support and Design with Miami Dade County Public Schools, and Founder of Fruit of Life Organics. Marc builds custom aquaponic systems and develops curriculum to educate businesses, organizations and schools about Eco agriculture.

Specializing in S.T.E.M. projects addressing green solutions to real world problems, Marc has designed and executed engineering and design projects with companies such as One Laptop Per Child, Dupont, The Education Effect/FIU, Collaborative Nutrition Initiative, Common Threads and others.
